CONFERENCE  REGISTRATION

The WVFLTA is proud to announce…

                                                 … Fall Conference 2010

Friday, September 24 & Saturday, September 25

Davis and Elkins University and Elkins High School

ELKINS, WV

From the President:
"Make a commitment to attend the conference this year!   I believe we're living in exciting times with great possibilities. This fall in Elkins we will not only experience new ideas applicable for teaching students of all ages, but also see how new technologies open so many doors not even available a couple of years ago.  You will gain ideas for immediate classroom use and be exposed to new possibilities for us to connect with one another, connect with the world and make what we do more real and meaningful for ourselves and our students.   I'm looking forward to seeing a record crowd this year!"
                                                                                                                                 Brad

P.S.  Let your school and county office administrators know how important it is for you to participate in this quality professional development opportunity -   in your fieldin your state!    Most county school boards have funds to cover registration fees and substitute teacher costs. Check with your principal or central office today! By applying early there may also be funds available for lodging and/or transportation.

Guest speaker:

Tom is an engaging speaker
who will help us Re-think  our vision
and more fully Realize  our motto:
"Bringing the World to WV".

These are indeed exciting times as we explore opportunities to expand our profession's role in education.   Are we an "exotic outsider" to the “core” or are we  - as practitioners of Global 21 principles * -  an integral part of the total curriculum?

With his background in education (teacher, administrator, state department curriculum consultant), and as an “ ardent revolutionary in the redesign of the learning process”, Tom’s sessions will be both     visionary and practical.
